Management of Urological Complications After Renal Transplantation: Our Experience and Technical Alternatives: Retrospective Clinical Research

Objective: Renal transplantation is the primary treatment method for end-stage kidney disease. Many reasons such as surgical and infection may cause urological complications after transplantation. Management of renal urinary requires respectable experience. In this study, we aimed to present management patients who require reconstruction at our center. Material Methods: The data 16 underwent reconstructive surgery were reviewed retrospectively. patients' demographic evaluated. Which was applied patients, timing correction transplantation, pre post-surgical glomerular filtration rate (GFR) Result: Them mean age 35.6 years. time from 312 days. average postoperative hospitalization 11.2 earliest complication total ureteral necrosis seen on 21st day latest vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) in series. developed VUR, VUR more than 6 months operation. Nephrostomy placed 75% patients. Ureteroneocystostomy 3 (18.7%), one with Boari flap, two modified Lich-Gregoir technique. Pre-operative GFR inter-quantile range (IQR): 35.6-70.3, first-month IQR: 47.4-69.5, third 50-74.5 detected. A significant difference observed between preoperative month (p=0.007). Conclusion: Reconstructive following a challenging but effective method. Even if it performed different centers, are likely occur.
